In a terrible incident, two MBBS students died and two others were injured when a car overturned after colliding with the dividers in the Fatehganj Paschimi area of Bareilly district in Uttar Pradesh.
The incident occurred near the Unasi turn of Bareilly, where, after colliding with the divider on the national highway, the students' car went out of control, overturned, and then hit a pole. The two students died in this car accident, while two others survived with injuries.
The deceased were identified as Deepak Bhati, who was 23 years old, and Rahul Srivastava, who was 24 years old. Ayush Porwal (23) and Krishna Yadav (22) survived the accident. All four were studying final semester of MBBS at Rajshree Medical College.
Police added that on Lucknow-Bareilly Road, the car driver lost control and the vehicle overturned after colliding with the divider when they were returning from Jyoti College after appearing in the examination.
Upon receiving the information, the police reached the site and took the injured out of the car.
Bhati was a resident of Faridabad, while Srivastava was from Bihar. Krishna Yadav and Ayush Porwal were severely injured and are undergoing treatment in a hospital.
This incident highlights the increasing number of accidents and safety measures on the roads. A road accident is the most unfortunate thing to happen to a road user, though it happens quite often. The most regrettable thing is that we don't even learn from our mistakes. Most of us are quite familiar with the general rules and safety measures while using roads, but it is only the negligence on the part of road users that causes accidents and crashes.
