A young man who experienced the symptoms of a heart attack was diagnosed with a collapsed lung.

Jordan Snowdon, a 29-year-old fisherman, was diagnosed with a collapsed lung. His right lung had caved in due to his addiction to vaping. He experienced throbbing pain and breathlessness. Initially, he thought they were symptoms of a heart attack. He faced similar symptoms when he collapsed on his bedroom floor after waking up from sleep.

According to the Sun, Jorden underwent emergency tests and an X-ray. The doctors confirmed that Jordan’s right lung had “caved in." To inflate his lung, doctors surgically inserted a 6-ml drain into his chest along with keyhole surgery.

Jordan said that five years ago he had replaced cigarettes with vapes. Sometimes he experienced a cold air sensation in his throat but he ignored the initial symptoms of a lung problem. He thought that it was not serious. He said that sometimes, to kill boredom, he used to vape and got addicted. He was always spotted smoking by his family and friends.

Now, with the aid of medical treatment, he has been able to save his important organ and stated that he also understands the value of his life. Jordan told Sun that he'd gone to his mom's house that morning, and he felt tired, so he went and laid down on the bed in his old room and dropped off to sleep. He woke up in sharp pain; it felt like someone had gripped his heart. He couldn't talk or breathe properly, and he hit the floor. He thought he was having a heart attack. He also said that he was so scared and thought he was going to die at this point.

As per the reports, doctors had to fit suction drains along Jordan's chest to keep inflating his lung and make it work properly. The doctors informed him that his lung would take months to heal. Jordan said that what happened was life-changing. It's devastating; he loves being outdoors, and he is still waiting for his lung to heal two weeks after his operation. However, the doctors said that it could take weeks, months, or even years; it just depends.

It is similar to smoking a cigarette, but vaping heats tiny particles out of liquid rather than burning tobacco. It can cause breathing problems, addiction, organ damage, and other issues.

Vaping can cause inflammation and irritation in the lungs, and it can also lead to lung damage like scarring and narrowing of the tubes that bring air in and out of the body. Vaping causes problems including asthma, organ damage, lung scarring, addiction, cigarette smoking, explosions, cancer, second-hand exposure, and e-cigarette or vaping-related product use-associated lung injury (EVALI).
