Pratiksha asserted that she was turned down because of her pale complexion despite doing exceptionally well in three rounds of interviews and showing that she was a great match for the requisite requirements.

Pratiksha posted a screenshot of the alleged rejection email from the company she had applied on LinkedIn. "Hello Pratiksha," the email began. We appreciate you taking the time to interview with us and being patient throughout. Unfortunately, we are unable to proceed with hiring you for the position at this time.

The email continued by thanking her for her relevant resume and perfectly matched abilities and qualifications. She was shocked and demoralized, nevertheless, by the subsequent statement. In the email, it was said that "Your skin tone is a little fair for the current team so we don't want differences in our internal team, and we decided not to offer you."

This incident highlighted the ongoing fight against prejudice and intolerance, which still exist in today's ostensibly enlightened and inclusive world. While diversity, inclusivity, and sustainability are hot topics, Pratiksha correctly noted that there are still occasions where people are assessed based on things like race, creed, religion, and other biases.
