Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded to the incident, and the remaining passengers were transferred to another aircraft after the affected passengers received medical care.

FlightAware data reported by PEOPLE showed that the Global X flight bound for Alexandria, Louisiana, was delayed by more than five hours before departing from Miami later that evening.
Heat-related illnesses can develop when people are exposed to high temperatures for extended periods, particularly in enclosed spaces with limited cooling. Conditions range from heat exhaustion to heat stroke, a serious medical emergency.
Symptoms may include dizziness, weakness, headache, nausea, dehydration, rapid heartbeat, and confusion. The risk may be higher for older adults, people with underlying health conditions, and those who are already dehydrated.
Early cooling, hydration, and medical attention can help prevent more serious complications.
The Miami-Dade Aviation Department identified the aircraft as a Global X charter flight. While Global X regularly operates charter flights for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), officials did not initially confirm the purpose of the flight involved in the incident.
PEOPLE reported that ICE said four individuals in its custody were taken to a local hospital after becoming overheated when the aircraft experienced mechanical problems on the ground. According to ICE, all four were treated and discharged the same day, and the aircraft issue was repaired.
Airport officials said operations continued without disruption during the response.

Although the affected individuals recovered after receiving medical care, the incident shows how aircraft cooling failures can quickly create health risks when people are exposed to excessive heat for prolonged periods.
