Canadian police arrested a 25 year old Indian origin man named Vaibhav on December 4, 2025, after several female doctors and healthcare workers reported that he had exposed himself during clinic visits. Peel Regional Police stated that the incidents took place across clinics in Mississauga and Brampton over the past few months. Officers confirmed that the accused repeatedly pretended to be ill so he could be examined by female medical professionals before flashing them.

Police Reveal List of Charges

Authorities charged Vaibhav with multiple offences. These include committing an indecent act in a public place, identity fraud with intent to gain advantage, possession of another person’s identity document and identity theft. Investigators discovered that he used the false name Akashdeep Singh during some clinic visits in order to hide his real identity and avoid suspicion. Police said he remains in custody while the court processes his bail hearing.

Pattern of Deception and Behaviour

According to investigators, Vaibhav entered clinics by presenting fabricated medical symptoms that required physical assessment. Once doctors began examining him, he allegedly used the opportunity to expose himself. Staff members who came forward said that the behavior appeared preplanned and repeated. Police believe the suspect targeted clinics where female doctors were available and crafted his symptoms to ensure close contact during examinations.

Police Appeal for Additional Information

Peel Regional Police believe there may be more victims who have not yet reported similar experiences. Officers from the 12 Division Criminal Investigations Bureau have urged anyone with information to come forward. They noted that the suspect’s use of a false identity may have allowed him to visit other clinics without detection. The investigation remains active as police continue reviewing potential links to other complaints in the area.

US Case Adds to Mounting Concerns Over Doctor Safety Worldwide

As reports of violence against medical professionals continue to surface, another disturbing incident emerged from the United States involving a doctor attacked inside a hospital elevator.

In Chicago on November 2, 2025, 39-year-old Sean Popps followed a 42-year-old cardiologist into a hospital elevator at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and repeatedly punched her in the head in an unprovoked assault. The doctor suffered bruises, hematomas and other injuries and required medical care. Popps had been arrested a dozen times in 2025, mostly around the same hospital, and now faces aggravated battery charges as police continue to investigate his pattern of violence.
