The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has opened a final Selective Edit Window for NEET PG 2026 candidates whose photographs, signatures and/or thumb impressions do not comply with the prescribed image-upload instructions.

The window opened on August 12, 2026, at 1 PM and will close on August 15, 2026, at 11:55 PM. Candidates covered by the notice must rectify the deficient images within this period.

NBEMS has warned that failure to make the required corrections during this final opportunity may result in cancellation of the NEET PG 2026 application. The board has also stated that no further opportunity will be provided for correcting these image-related deficiencies.

With the NEET PG 2026 exam scheduled for August 30, candidates should check their application status without waiting for the deadline.

The latest NBEMS notice applies to candidates whose uploaded photograph, signature and/or thumb impression has been found not to comply with the prescribed image-upload requirements.

NBEMS had earlier provided a Selective Edit Window, which closed on August 10. After its closure, the board identified candidates who had not rectified the image-related deficiencies. The latest notice gives such candidates a final opportunity to make the required corrections.

Candidates should log in to the official NBEMS portal and check whether any action is required on their application.

They should also check the email address registered with their NEET PG application because NBEMS has communicated with affected candidates regarding image deficiencies.

1. Visit the official NBEMS website.

2. Go to the NEET-PG 2026 examination section.

3. Log in using the credentials associated with the application.

4. Check whether the photograph, signature or thumb impression requires correction.

5. Carefully read the applicable image-upload instructions.

6. Upload the corrected image or images according to the prescribed specifications.

7. Submit the required correction before the August 15 deadline.

The NEET PG 2026 examination will be held on August 30, 2026, in computer-based mode. NBEMS had announced the examination date along with the application schedule earlier this year.

The board released the NEET PG 2026 test-city intimation information on August 11. Candidates should remember that test-city information is not the same as the admit card. The city information indicates the allotted examination city, while the admit card provides the examination-centre details and other instructions.

NEET PG 2026 will comprise 180 multiple-choice questions, with candidates getting 210 minutes, or three hours and 30 minutes, to complete the examination.

The paper will be divided into five sections, Groups A to E, with 36 questions in each section and 42 minutes allotted to each section.

The revised pattern means candidates should also familiarise themselves with the sectional timing while preparing for the examination.
