A man has been arrested for allegedly raping a 32-year-old doctor at her home in Ghaziabad. The man allegedly thrashed and molested the doctor's daughter as well when she tried to stop him. The victim runs a clinic in a colony in the Teela More police station area here.

Siddhartha Gautam, Shalimar Garden ACP, said that the 42-year-old accused, Mintoo alias Sunil, had visited the doctor's clinic two years ago and befriended her. The accused, Sunil, is the husband of Bhedapur village head of Baghpat district.

The female doctor, in her complaint on Saturday, alleged that Sunil had promised to marry her. On this pretext, he not only sexually but also financially exploited her. During all these times, the man recorded videos and clicked obnoxious photos of her as well. Sunil even intimidated the doctor several times to make her videos viral on social media.

As per the complaint, on Saturday, Sunil reached the doctor's residence and forcibly raped her. When the doctor's daughter opposed his attempts by intervening between them, the accused also thrashed and molested her.

The police arrested the accused on Sunday, and a case has been lodged against him under sections 376 for punishment for rape and 354 for assault of a woman with intent to outrage her modesty under the IPC and POCSO Act.
