The police also seized a car, a two-wheeler, and a mobile phone from the accused.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Anees, 35, Shameer, 32, Niyas, 29, Faisal, 28, and Sajitha, 30. The police said that the accused were involved in selling narcotics to students and young people in the area. The police also suspect that the accused may have links with international drug cartels.
The police have appealed to the public to come forward with any information about drug peddlers in the area. The accused were produced before a court and remanded in judicial custody.
