Love has no boundaries. So much so that this 23-year-old student crossed the oceans a couple of times to meet her lover. However, the price she had to pay was her life.

The accused, Sunil, has been arrested for murdering his lover, Monica, who had traveled from Canada to meet him after her remains were found in Ganaur town in Haryana.

Monica had gone to Canada after clearing the IELTS exam in January last year. However, she made a couple of trips to India between January and May 2022. Sunil and Monica got married in a Ghaziabad temple when Monica returned to India. However, Sunil was already married and had two children from his first marriage. Sunil had intentions of moving to Canada. He thought the path would be easy if Monica gets a Permanent Residency (PR) in Canada, and she could take him on a spouse visa.

However, along the line, Sunil noticed that his plan was not working. He brutally shot Monica and ditched her body in the fields of a farmhouse on June 29.

According to the reports, Monica's family was unaware of her return to India. However, her sister had lodged a missing complaint with the Ganaur police. She had accused Sunil of luring Monica back to India and then murdering her.

The Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) found her remains this Monday. Sunil has been arrested for murder and also concealing before a court that he was already married. The remains have been sent for examination at the civil hospital.
