A server breakdown at New Delhi’s All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) brought all the online operations to a standstill on Saturday leaving the patients frustrated as all online-related procedures were halted.

The server was operated by the National Informatics Centre’s (NIC) eHospital platform which appeared to have some technical issues. The out patient department (OPD) was particularly affected as patients were unable to acquire OPD tickets for consultations and checkups. AIIMS switched to offline mode to manage all the essential services. To ensure adequate medical care was provided.

Patients faced delays and inconveniences all day but were asked to cooperate as the hospital staff worked tirelessly to resolve the situation.
