Ramdev has been under fire from the Indian Supreme Court in recent weeks for defying its orders to stop the false marketing of some of his traditional ayurvedic medications.

The drug regulator of traditional medicines in the northern state of Uttarakhand stopped the manufacturing permits of Ramdev's firms in an order dated April 15.

The 14 products whose licenses were revoked included traditional remedies prescribed by Ramdev for diabetes, bronchitis, and asthma. The state regulator's Mithilesh Kumar said in his order that the manufacturing permits be "suspended with immediate effect.".
Ramdev's spokesperson stated that he was unable to comment at this time.

Product names that have been put on hold include Lipidom; BP Grit; Madhugrit and Madhunashini Vati Extra Power; 'Livamrit Advance'; 'Livogrit'; 'Eyegrit Gold' and 'Patanjali Drishti Eye Drop'; and Swasari Gold, Vati, Bronchom, and Vati Extra Power.

Due to their deceptive product promotions, Patanjali Ayurved, Ramdev, and Balkrishna were facing contempt charges before the highest court.

A criminal complaint has been filed against Patanjali, Ramdev, and Acharya Balkrishna, claiming that they violated the Drugs and Magic Remedies Act.

The Indian Medical Association has filed suit against Ramdev in the Supreme Court on accusations that his company, Patanjali, discredits traditional treatments and has published deceptive advertisements in defiance of a court order to cease.

Ramdev admitted that his actions were a mistake, and his business has apologized to the public in newspaper ads. He has been asking for forgiveness in front of the highest court judges in recent weeks while wearing his signature saffron-colored robe, but the judges have not accepted his plea as of yet.

The judges are debating whether or not to charge Ramdev with contempt.
