Miami plastic surgeon Dr. Leonard “Lenny” Hochstein is facing three new medical malpractice lawsuits filed in Miami-Dade County in July 2026 after three women alleged complications following cosmetic procedures at his North Miami Beach Surgical Center.

The lawsuits involve breast augmentation, breast lift, tummy tuck, liposuction and fat grafting. The patients allege injuries including pain, breast deformity and wound complications, with some requiring additional surgery. The cases add to a separate malpractice lawsuit filed against Hochstein in June 2025, bringing the total number of pending Miami-Dade malpractice suits against him to four, according to the Miami Herald.

Three women filed separate medical malpractice lawsuits against Miami plastic surgeon Dr. Leonard “Lenny” Hochstein in July 2026, alleging complications after cosmetic procedures at his North Miami Beach surgical center, according to PEOPLE.

Alana Jaffery, 46, underwent a tummy tuck, liposuction, fat grafting and a breast lift with implants on May 27, 2025. Her lawsuit alleges abdominal pain, tightness, swelling and discoloration after surgery. She later sought treatment at a California wound-care center, where the complaint says fluid buildup and dead tissue were identified.

Miriam Pavlovsky underwent breast augmentation with silicone implants in May 2025. Her lawsuit alleges that mesh was used without adequate disclosure of its off-label use. She later reported breast pain, implant rippling and asymmetry and underwent revision surgery.

Pauline J. Pearlman underwent a breast augmentation and breast lift on March 15, 2022, according to her lawsuit. She alleges that she developed breast asymmetry, cleavage distortion and early symmastia, a condition in which the breasts come together at the center of the chest.

The complaint also alleges that Hochstein’s handwritten consultation note called for “augmentation vs. (breast lift),” but both procedures were ultimately performed. It claims the medical records did not document a clinical rationale for changing the surgical plan.

After another operation in April 2023, Pearlman allegedly experienced significant pain and swelling and required fluid drainage. Her complaint states that she was left with “persistent breast deformity, including symmastia and right implant malposition, chronic pain, and the need for additional corrective surgery.”

A separate malpractice lawsuit filed by Tanya Draskovic on June 13, 2025, brings the total number of pending Miami-Dade malpractice cases against Hochstein to four.

Miami plastic surgeon Dr. Leonard “Lenny” Hochstein denied the allegations in the three new malpractice lawsuits. He told the Miami Herald, “These are allegations, not facts,” and added, “I am fully prepared to defend myself and expect to prevail in all three cases.”

In the separate malpractice lawsuit filed by Tanya Draskovic in June 2025, a response filed on Hochstein's behalf by attorney Brian Engel of Fort Lauderdale's Lubell Rosen denied allegations that the surgeon failed to explain the risks, made surgical errors or caused Draskovic's reported complications.

According to the Miami Herald, Hochstein has held a Florida medical license since November 1995 and has been board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery since 2001, with his current certification listed through 2031. His Florida Department of Health profile also lists four settled liability claims—three for $250,000 and one for $177,500. The department notes that a settlement alone does not establish that medical malpractice occurred.

The three July 2026 lawsuits, along with a separate malpractice case filed by Tanya Draskovic in June 2025, leave four medical malpractice suits against Hochstein pending in Miami-Dade County, according to the Miami Herald. The allegations in the cases remain disputed, and Hochstein has denied wrongdoing.

Morgan & Morgan founder John Morgan and plaintiff attorney Jack Cook, whose firm represents the three women in the new cases, said in a statement shared with PEOPLE, “Every one of these patients has suffered, and continues to suffer, emotional harm from the sense that the trust between surgeon and patient was broken.”

The cases will proceed through the legal process, with the allegations and Hochstein’s defenses to be addressed in court.
