Trisha Chodanker
Trisha Chodanker is a pharmacist with nearly twelve years of experience spanning hospital pharmacy, retail pharmacy, and the pharmaceutical industry. Throughout her career, she has worked on the frontlines of healthcare, engaging directly with patients, physicians, and healthcare systems, and developing a deep understanding of how medical knowledge translates into everyday health decisions.
She holds a Master’s degree in Pharmacy with a specialization in Medicinal Chemistry. In addition to her academic training, she has professional experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, having worked with a pharmaceutical company’s production team. This exposure provided in-depth insight into drug development, quality control, and large-scale manufacturing—expertise that continues to inform her approach to healthcare communication.
For much of her career, she worked in retail and hospital pharmacy settings, where patient counseling was a core responsibility. She has extensive experience explaining medications, addressing patient concerns, correcting misconceptions, and helping individuals and families understand complex treatment plans. Through this work, she developed a strong interest in preventive care, general family health, and women’s healthcare—areas that remain central to her writing and research.
She is currently transitioning into medical and science journalism, driven by a long-standing commitment to public health education beyond the pharmacy counter. In an era where health misinformation spreads rapidly, she believes healthcare professionals have a responsibility to communicate science clearly, ethically, and without sensationalism. Her work focuses on presenting medical information that is evidence-based, nuanced, and grounded in reality.
Based in Goa, she writes to bridge the gap between science and society, aiming to make medicine, pharmacy, and healthcare more understandable and trustworthy. Through her work, she empowers readers to ask informed questions, make confident health decisions, and navigate healthcare with clarity.
