A dermatologist posted at a government hospital in Ajmer, Rajasthan, was found hanging in his official quarters located behind the hospital premises, according to multiple media reports.

The incident came to light after hospital staff reportedly became concerned when the doctor did not report for duty. Authorities later discovered his body inside the government accommodation allotted to him.

The case is currently under investigation by local police officials.

WhatsApp Status Shared Hours Before Death

According to reports, the dermatologist had posted a WhatsApp status message hours before his death which stated that he would not be seeing patients and requested that people avoid calling him. The status drew attention after news of the incident emerged.

Police officials have stated that no formal suicide note was recovered from the scene.

Family Details

According to media reports, the dermatologist is survived by his wife and parents. Doctor had been married for 2 years and his wife worked as a professor in Delhi. At the time of the incident, his family members were not present at the government quarters.

Authorities informed the family following the discovery. Postmortem examination procedures were conducted in accordance with legal protocols.

The doctor was serving as a dermatologist at a government hospital in Ajmer since a year. Dermatologists specialize in diagnosing and treating conditions related to the skin, hair, and nails, including infections, autoimmune skin disorders, allergies, and chronic dermatological diseases.
