A woman from Tripura, Agartala finds a dead cockroach in a bowl of Japanese ramen, which is ordered from an eatery called Auntie Fug’s through Zomato. She shared the horrific incident on the X (formerly Twitter) platform and went viral.

This incident happened on February 14. The Agartala resident Sonia Acharya ordered Japanese miso ramen chicken from an eatery Auntie Fug’s through the food delivery platform Zomato. She finds a dead cockroach in her meal and she expressed the incident on the X platform. In her post, she said that she had a horrific experience ordering from Zomato. She Ordered Japanese miso ramen chicken from Auntie Fug’s and found a cockroach in the meal which is absolutely unacceptable and disgusting and also said that seriously disappointed with the quality control, Zomato is beyond gross. She also shared a screenshot that showed that the company had initiated a refund of Rs. 320 for the order.

Zomato responded to the X post of Sonia Acharya and replied that they were sorry to hear about the unfortunate incident. They want to help turn this experience around and also asked to allow them some time to look into it and they will get back to her ASAP.

The post went viral on social media, and most people supported Zomato. One said how is Zomato to blame for this? It should be the restaurant to blame and another said Zomato is an aggregator and delivery service, they don't cook food, please get it right and others responded in a funny way.

A similar incident happened to a man, who found a dead cockroach in his meal which was served on Vande Bharat Express, going from Rani Kamlapati to Jabalpur. He also shared his experience in X (formerly Twitter) platform.

Recently a Zomato customer decided to move to court after he was shocked that the kabab ordered from a Lucknow restaurant was delivered to him in 30 minutes. He raised questions about the validation of Zomato’s rapid service that was categorized as ‘legends’.
