A shocking incident has come to light from Sanchore in the Jalore district of Rajasthan. There is no doubt that hearing this news will give you goosebumps.
A 25-year-old accountant, Yashpal Singh swallowed not one or two but 56 razor blades. When the man started to vomit blood his friend rushed him to Mediplus Hospital. Initially, the doctors performed sonography. Later, an endoscopy revealed that the man had indeed swallowed razor blades.
Yashpal had suffered serious injury marks on his neck due to swallowing the blade. His whole body was swollen and the internal parts were severely injured. The young man’s life was saved after a 3-hour-long surgery by a team of seven doctors to remove blades from his stomach. Now his condition is stable.
According to the doctors, Yashpal had swallowed 3 packets of blades with covers. He cut the blade into 2 parts and ate it with the cover. The doctor also said that if he had eaten the blade without breaking the cover, it would have stuck in his throat and would not have gone inside the stomach. But when the blade went into Yashpal's stomach, the covering dissolved, and part of his stomach was cut due to the open blade. This caused a lot of bleeding and he started vomiting blood. The wound in his stomach was treated after removing the blades.
While the reason for Yashpal's behavior is still unclear, doctors said that it was possible that he did this out of anxiety or depression.
