A tragic car accident near Rasoma Square on Wednesday morning claimed the life of Dr. Mukesh Tiwari, a 59-year-old doctor. The accident occurred at approximately 11:30 a.m. when Dr. Tiwari’s car crashed into a stationary vehicle at a traffic signal. The incident has left the local community stunned and grieving.

The Incident

Dr. Tiwari, a resident of Shalimar Township, was returning home from a visit to a salon when his car lost control. Eyewitnesses reported that the vehicle accelerated unexpectedly and crashed into a car waiting at the traffic signal. The impact was severe, causing Dr. Tiwari’s chest to hit the steering wheel, which led to critical internal injuries.

Two other passengers in the car sustained minor injuries but did not require serious medical attention.

The Response

Local residents, who witnessed the crash, immediately alerted the authorities. The police arrived quickly at the scene and launched a preliminary investigation. Dr. Tiwari was promptly taken to a nearby hospital, but despite all attempts to revive him, he unfortunately passed away from his injuries.

Police Findings and Officer’s Statement

The front of Dr. Tiwari’s car was severely damaged due to the force of the crash.

Initial investigations suggest that Dr. Tiwari may have mistakenly pressed the accelerator instead of the brake, causing the car to accelerate uncontrollably.

An officer involved in the investigation remarked that the severity of the crash and the doctor’s injuries suggested that his chest had struck the steering wheel, resulting in fatal internal injuries. The officer further noted that while a driver error seemed likely, all possible factors were being considered in the ongoing investigation.

Post-Mortem and Investigation

The authorities have filed a case and have sent Dr. Tiwari’s body for an autopsy to ascertain the precise cause of death. Authorities are continuing their investigation to confirm the full circumstances of the tragic accident.
