After being shared online, the post on X gained over 8 lakh views and went viral. By leaving comments on the post and posing queries, social media users engaged with it.

One person said, "Smokers: Perfecting our air pollution contribution while boosting the economy, one cigarette at a time," in a critical take on the matter. Losers (nonsmokers): Merely living our lives without requiring an exhaust pipe to fit over our lips.

“Thanks Doc, I never thought I’ll be able to flex being a loser,” wrote another person.

Another user commented, "Smoking = Coolness/ Dudeness. (Or whatever)", while another related their personal story, saying, "Became a loser after 36 yrs of smoking. Quit overnight."

“I came out of my smoking habits after several years of struggle. I can feel the positive things in my health after that decision. People who smoke! you have nothing to be proud of,” shared an individual.

Another user raised their concern, commenting, "Quite tragic… Smoking is deadly!"
