In yet another case of alleged medical negligence, a shocking video from Siwan, Bihar, has gone viral, where a doctor is seen performing a C-section without even following the basic safety protocols.

Dr. Kanchan Kumari, an Ayurvedic practitioner who runs a maternity center in Siwan, can be seen carrying out the surgery in what looked more like a storeroom than a sterile operation theatre. She was not wearing gloves, a PPE kit, or even a mask.

A group of people—likely the patient’s relatives—were seen standing around in their regular clothes, crowding the patient during the procedure.

One of the doctor’s relatives recorded the video and said, “Dr. Kanchan always delivers baby boys.”

Against Medical Ethics

While Dr. Kanchan’s video shocked many, what stood out the most was how casually basic safety protocols were ignored. Performing a C-section without gloves, a PPE kit, or even a mask is not just unsafe; it goes completely against standard medical practice.

What raised even more eyebrows was her being an Ayurvedic practitioner conducting such a serious procedure, something many aren’t even sure if she is qualified for.

While nothing has been officially confirmed yet, the entire episode has sparked serious questions about patient safety.

The viral video has triggered widespread outrage online. A user named SkinDoctor shared the clip on X, calling out the blatant lack of safety protocols and questioning Dr. Kanchan’s credibility. 

Responding to that, another user added:

“This situation is deeply alarming and highlights a severe breach of medical ethics and safety standards. Performing a C-section without proper sterilization, PPE, and in an inappropriate setting endangers the patient’s life. Filming during surgery shows blatant disrespect and irresponsibility. If Kanchan Kumari lacks proper qualifications and is practicing such negligent behavior, strict legal action must be taken immediately to protect patients and uphold healthcare integrity.”
