  1. What do you do?

I conduct post-mortem examinations and many other medicolegal work like estimation of age, injury certificate, examination of victim and accused of sexual assault etc. etc. Matlab Dr. Salunkhe in real life but quite different.

  2. What’s the best part of your profession? What made you choose this profession?

    Best parts:

    1. Interesting cases of murder, suicide, and accidents.

    2. Good connections with Police and other influential people.

    3. Good work-life balance.

    4. Teaching undergrad regarding forensic medicine.

    5. Giving justice to people after death.

    Now what made me choose:

    1. Didn’t want to waste another year while studying.

    2. And actually didn’t feel like working as a doctor, seeing sick people and helping them. Yeah, we exist.

    3. Good job opportunity after completion of the degree.

    4. No hectic schedule, chill life.

  3. Do you like reading? What was the last thing you read?

Not actually. I usually watch web series. Have watched around 70-80 web series in total.

  4. What is your favorite dish? If you could eat one food for 360 days consecutively in a year, what would it be?

Namkeen chawal made by my mother.

  5. Describe yourself using 3 words.

    Hedonistic, Maverick, Serial Chiller

  6. What was your least favorite subject in MBBS? Why?

I hate all of them. Didn’t like any subject. Was reading just to get passing marks.

  7. What is the most fascinating thing you find about your field of profession or forensics?

Most fascinating thing is that my work continuously reminds me death is the only freedom. Every moment can be your last. So enjoy every moment to the fullest.

Can work in any environment if it’s not surrounded by toxic people, where I can’t truly express myself.

Naah. I am happy where I am working. Chill, relax, and be in my comfort zone.

  10. Are you a TEAM PLAYER or do you work better/prefer to work alone?

Depends on the team. If toxic then would like to work alone. If fun to work with, no problem working with them.

I don’t know. Maybe a stand-up comedian. Or I would have opened a cafe. Or teaching students. I don’t know.

Take it only if you are not bothered by dead people. And if you want to live a simple, easy interesting life then go for it.
